In Ethernia there are many continents and you will be able to meet various factions, races and characters during your journey... learn more about our lore on the game's official website and welcome to Ethernia.
The develper talks about artists and such but it sounds like it's one person building this game. So many red flags.
The dev themselves only has 140 hours in Aseprite. Thats rookie numbers for someone who is making a game with pixel art.
I only made this post because a character sprite in the trailer looks EXTREMELY similar to the Aegis class in another game I love called Crystal Project.
https://crystal-project.fandom.com/wiki/Aegis
I'm not sure if the developer of Crystal Project used free game assets or if this was an original sprite.
Ah, I understand! I'm a solo developer, so I bought many packages online, almost all of them, and I also worked a lot on commission... besides that, the few hours I've had with Aseprite have been spent a lot of fun with my wife and friends on weekends creating something fun and easter eggs in the game.
As a solo developer, we need to find ways to complete the project from start to finish, and using free assets is one of them. But as I said, I also bought a lot of things and did months of commission work with many artists.
AI was only used for marketing artwork :D
