Almost 70 hours in , Every side quest done and I still wasn’t ready for that ENDING.
The game starts slow and takes its time, but the payoff is incredible. The ending is emotional DAMN FAM. I watched the full credits roll, something I almost never do.

Combat is PEAK turn-based JRPG, you cant grind your way through this you need to use your brain and its better than any modern titles. The real thing which caught me is the Characters and World Building. Seeing story connect and characters Return feels SO GOOD and this is just the first game, dont know how much amazin it will get later

As your run-of-the-mill office worker, I get desensitized with video games lately. Being busy at work left me a walking husk, feeding off slop that are reels, quick relief games, and maybe YouTube.

I was browsing the Steam Winter Sale until I came across this. 'Whoa, overwhelmingly positive?' is what I was thinking, then I put it to the cart and check out. Never played the Trails series all my life, so I don't know what I was getting to.

And boy did I not know I was getting into greatness. The dialogues are compelling, the characters are grounded but filled with depth. The world-building is insanely intricate. The gameplay is solid, super solid in fact for a JRPG. So here I am, configuring builds and giggling at the silly ass humor, among other things.

The fact that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed got nominated as the best RPG in TGA and not this is criminally insane to think about. This game should be the best RPG of 2025, and arguably, the GOTY of 2025.

this is my GOTY, it brings me tear to my eyes that we lost the chest text boxes though
