Update: Did manage to fix the issue, but i had to delete (manually) all the files and redownload them.

Still, nothing in my side was changed in terms of software from when it was working and then suddenly stopped. It's just annyoing that i lost a full day of resources for something out of my control.

if your still having issues, try restarting your PC.. i know what it sounds like but thats what fixed it for me it was Steams intersoftware connection software was out of date the Steamworks one which after rebooting and trying to play the game steam DL an quick update and it worked fine again
