Known Issues

We want to keep you in the loop about a few known issues we’re actively working to fix in upcoming patches:

1. Display Resolution Abnormalities (Windowed Mode)
Players may experience unusual or incorrect display scaling when running the game in windowed mode.

2. Random Crashes
The game may close unexpectedly on certain hardware configurations.
We’re investigating the root causes to improve stability across all systems.

3. Audio Dropouts During Gameplay
Sound may abruptly cut out or stutter on some devices.
Audio systems are being reviewed to ensure smooth playback.

Our team is working around the clock to identify, squash, and resolve these bugs as fast as possible.

10.20 Update
1. Mac Save File Issue
Due to an issue with cloud save settings, some of Mac players have experienced unexpected save file loss. This was the result of an operational error on our end, and we deeply apologize for the inconvenience and negative experience.

You may find the backup files are here: ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.Unity-Technologies.com.unity.template.urp-blank/Saves/
And you can copy them to:
~/Library/Application\ Support/TeamSoda/Duckov/Saves/
This method may not work for everyone, but it’s worth a try.

2. Black Screen on Launch (via Steam):
Possible GPU or save file issue. Try:
① Update GPU drivers
② Disable Steam’s Shader Cache
③ Backup & reset saves: Copy contents of savesfolder elsewhere → Delete original savesfolder → Paste back

3. Cannot Extract in Tutorial:
① Check if C: drive is full
② If not, try the save backup/reset method above

4. FPS Drops/Visual Issues:
Disable VSync and cap FPS to 60-90
If visuals are blurry, try disabling FSR
(Note: Mining rigs dropping to 30 FPS is a known issue — under active investigation.)

5. Random Crashes/Freezes:
Some community mods may have compatibility issues. If you experience crashes or freezes, try disabling certain mods first.

I was surprised the game doesn't have full settings for adjusting the resolution. That and no controller support were both unexpected for a game in 2025. I hope they'll be resolved soon because the game looks like fun.

I cannot see the circles when fishing in Linux. Only a "!" mark and red circles. Is this expected behaviour or it's a bug?

Update:
I just realized the "!" means the circle starts to appear, so it works well on my part. Sorry for wasting your time.

I’m not sure where I should post a bug report, so here it is.

In the first map, there are what I would call minibosses the big white ducks with axes. One is near the sewer exit from the base, and one is in the west, on the forest path.
What happened to me is that these ducks just disappeared from the map.
I was fighting the one in the forest and got killed. Then, on my way back to my loot, I got killed again, and when I returned to this duck, it was no longer there. I went to the one near the sewer exit, which I saw there earlier, and it was also gone.

My game keeps freezing and sometimes completely crashes every time I reach the bridge behind the gate on the first map — the one you can repair and walk across. When it happens, my entire PC freezes, and I have to restart it manually. This issue occurs consistently in that exact area.

My PC setup:

GPU: ASUS GTX 1070 8GB

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X

RAM: 16GB

OS: Windows 11

I’ve already checked my drivers and temperatures, and everything seems fine. The issue only happens at that specific bridge area.

you can setup your own key binding on steamdeck. but external gamepad support must have for sure for playing dock mode

biggest problem i have is the fact that the ai will always attack you over the other enemy that has a gun shoved up there @$$

It works amazing on steam deck that how I have been playing didn't even need to mess with the layout or anything

I believe I have encountered a bug regarding the J-Lab Certificate spawn.

I completed the quest in which you get the certificate and then I immediately used it, to complete the quest to be able to purchase the certificate I need 3. I have found 2 in the building which requires the bosses eye to enter but I have not found a single certificate drop in the world from a boss, a enemy or a container. I even used a mod to increase the luck and amount of lootable items and yet I did not find one.

I have become somewhat softlocked with no reliable way to enter the labs if I use my current 2 certificates as they do not drop and I will not be able to buy them.
