Game is crashing when loading new area! (Years 1-4)
As the title states, my game is crashing when trying to load into a new area, specifically when walking through a certain doorway - which I have taken a screenshot of, and will leave a link to in a comment.

As for at what point in the game this is occurring, I am on Year 2 (Chamber of secrets) and have just completed the 'Mandrake' herbology class, and this is the route I have to take to progress to the next section of the game.

Fixes I have tried and DON'T work are as follows:

(Video settings)
- Changing to windowed mode instead of full screen
- Changing the screen resolution to 640x480
- Turning V-Sync (Vertical Sync) off & on
- Turning triple buffering on
- Changing the aspect ratio to 16:9

(Effect settings)
- Turning off all of them (FSR, shadows, bloom, Depth of field)

- Uninstalling/Reinstalling the game also doesn't work, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the game files, but rather the save file itself.

All of these fixes are all of the ones I could find by looking through all of the other 'Crash' related discussions on here, which seem to date back a fair way - and yet there hasn't been any sort of hotfix or update deployed to resolve the issue!

I hope this discussion can be a useful space for people to suggest any new possible fixes to resolve the crashing problems with this poorly made game.

TLDR: The game crashes at random points throughout the game making it impossible to progress any further, and I would therefore recommend you save your money and don't give your hard earned cash to companies who release broken products.

I don't had crash, I just walk through doorway, no crash. did you had menu extra turn on? what video driver do you had

I have no extras turned on and I have the most recent drivers for my AMD graphics card (Radeon 6900XT and driver version is 25.9.1)

I don't exactly have that one.. but there's many points where I do have a crash, like the student in trouble in the quiditch area, and then the mirror level? I can't get past it without the game crashing on the cutscene, and I have the same crash on years 5-8, and can't progress

The game has crashed on me twice in Years 1-4 so far but not in that location. I was so pissed.

The first time I was in the area outside Hagrid's Hut on the main castle maps, the second time I was literally at the end of the fight with Voldemort in the graveyard. He had one heart left. When I relaunched I was back in Hogwarts and had to replay the entire chapter.

The same for me... another bug with the red ball on the quidditch'club roof, the game crashes, and the mirror room, the same.. i can't progress anymore.. buy it yesterday... i am little disappointed to be polite.. to much crash and bugs with lego.. i had some bad experience like this on PS4 and indiana jones... and star wars... i am going to stick with my lego blocks and stop playing their video games...
