some ppl actually play a MMO for MMO stuff and not to watch a visual novel ( with average english translation ).
LET ME OUT ffs lol
I read quest text in Warhammer Return of Reckoning... I really do. This game just won't let me play it... I have no problems with text it's just cutscene after cutscene lol
perhaps think of this as a single player game like Skyrim, Fallout type game. where it is similar to a story-heavy driven game. As decision can impact what happens in the cutscenes. don't just treat it like a MMO WoW clone, treat it like an actual RPG like you know. the Witcher or something. but as a Chinese Cultivation Genre type of RPG.
Especially this game's world building is EXTREMELY vas. since it's based off from 3 different completed novels by the same author, as the base of the game.
Also the game can be some what dated compared to some as it is released back in mid-2018. and barely gotten a global release now.
hell they even market Where Winds Meet as mmo
it's not a false advertising though.
I'm pretty sure you know what MMO stands for considering you have played numerous of them yourself as i see it in your library.
but to refresh your mind, MMO stands for massive multiplayer online. that's it.
it's technically not even an actual genre of game. you can call it a type of game, like a SinglePlayer game, and well, an MMO. lol
SoJ is an RPG genre that is in a MMO type game.
while WWM is a soul's like genre that can be a singleplayer or MMO type game (due to it's online co-op capability)
and honestly, the word "MMO" is really used loosely; as long you're connected with a quantifiable users online through a server, you're technically playing an MMO. Since you are technically playing a game with other players "massively" online
so in essence, PUBG, FreeStyle 2, Once Human would considered MMO. but just different genre games.
These mobile games think that allowing you to adjust your graphics settings needs earned and can be done after level 10 or something. No wonder they are failing one after another.
Edit: This has amazing character creator and the story seems nice so far, but can't buy anything in cash shop, and doesn't give the listed bonuses for purchases either.
it's not an mmo...
it's singleplayer game with coop option... period
