Yeah, that's not exactly intuitive.

Yeah, I would never have found that. Settings is not where Exit should be placed. Alt+F4 was my last ditch idea, and while it works, it's pretty weak to have to go that far just to quit the game.
This is why the game won't become as big as it could. :/ They need to support controllers and make the UI better.
I'm using Steam to close the game.
A thoughtful dev will add the hook for the signal - "do you really want to close the process, losing the unsaved data"?
A common misconception "alt f4 can damage the data if it is saving". If the decent program started a save, it will finish it before processing next request. And if the dev cannot code even that, probably his saves will eventually be damaged anyway due "race condition".
