I like Monster Hunter Wilds
I didn't think I would even buy the game but then I seen Quematrice in the trailer promotions, that monster is single handedly the reason I changed my opinion and ended up buying Wilds, there was something reminicent about that monster that reminded me of the kind of goofy Yian-Kut kut monsters and very much expressed the niche oddities that made older gen games enjoyable

I didn't really struggle with preformance issues, every now and again, my game would crash to desktop. But as someone who pre-orders games months/years in advance, that kind of stuff always happens, happened with Elden Ring, happened with Dragons Dogma 2, I just expect that stuff to happen. My machine is old as well, but still runs the game at stable 60fps on high settings, honestly, the whole optimization issues only really sucked for me because it meant more time had to be spent fixing that for everyone else instead of spent adding more content to the game.

The difficulty, way too easy, the whole story was not enjoyable, didn't matter what weapon or armour you had, it felt more like a punishment and I was so bored I skipped the story, all the cut scenes felt like a punishment because you'd watch them and then have to fight something that offered no challange, it felt more like a forced cineamatic experience over a gaming one.

What I like now is the end game content kind of, the RNG is a bit meh, I do like how it's more streamlined so like, it's not completely RNG, like I'm not to bummed about not having a god tier talismen, I like the direction armour is going, I don't really like the obsuring of statistics, like I don't enjoy following other players builds or having to watch YouTubers who had to data mine the math behind builds just to come up with a build that suits my playstyle while also not leading to extended time for others who may join a hunt, like this stuff like Gogmazios set "When monster becomes enraged, you do more elemental damage", ok, can you just say the % or value instead of vauge "More/Lots More"? That would be nice because there's many skills that are more like pitfalls or choices that are actually sub optimal traps than alternative stratagies

And the end game difficulty, it is good, but like, there's only really Savage Omega that could be considered a real challange, Gogmazios, yeah it's a cool fight but he's not really difficult so it's more just a tedious grind, like 15 minutes repeated all day just one monster to get all the materials or to focus the right set bonus traits on your artian, it would be nice to see more variaty of challange and not just Gog, Omega, like sometimes Lagi or Sergio can catch you out but you're going to finish the quest so idk I think the lack of challange is due to making the base main quests too easy and having to spend so much time on game optimization.

I'm looking forward to Master Rank DLC, but I'm concerned, when that drops, it's going to be like Monster Hunter Iceborne and on release, it's back to people having optimization issues and then that again becoming the focus over content for the game.

I think the 8 hunters in one mission is really cool, I'm hoping the reason it's only NPCs for Gog, is because it's more like a trial for how 8 hunters in a mission will work in Wilds, but I think it would be sick if more elder dragons where introduced at some point with new maps, like in Gen 1/2, when you initially fought Elders, like Kushala Daora, there was an entire fortress build to repeal/fight in, that was epic but it was at a time when multiplayer was not common, so it was a massive castle/fortification but it was just empty, I feel like the Gogmazios battle could set the foundation for a slightly larger scale battle, even say Lao Shan Lung, ok boring figth because it's just moving, but the map was so interesting, I noticed aspects similairly expressed in Rise Sunbreak, but that kind of castle/fortress with tons of cannons, tons of ballistas, with 8 players and the area to really emphasis the power of Elder Dragons because often their lore is more powerful than what's been expressed in the games.

Just my thought about the game, I'm enjoying it but between title updates, the content gets stale, Gog is fine but in 2 weeks, between Gog and Savage Omega, that's when I have to start creating my own difficulty and setting myself challanges to keep the game playable

Nice. c:
That's cool. I'm glad you enjoy it!
I think more people than you realize feel that way. I'm glad you're having a good time with the game and don't let anyone tell you that there is something wrong with you for it.

Nothing wrong with liking the game. Some people get weird about it in situations where a game has clear issues and any positivity is seen as something meant to cover up those problems, but if you can enjoy it, that's great. I wish I could, I don't think I would be as harsh about it if it at least ran well as I haven't put anytime into it since I beat the game back before TU1. I'm still hoping they can make the game run right, but fully expecting the game to mostly be a wash for me, just completely skipping the expansion and waiting on whatever they do for the next game.

Sadly, it's usually the other way around.
When there's plenty reason to be critical, if you express negativity, you're generally called a "hater" or a "troll".

But I do agree with you that if someone is enjoying the game, they should just enjoy it. It doesn't really matter what other people think.

No. Let people tell you about what they don't like about the game, that's normal.
You can like something and still be friends and talk about the game with someone that dislikes it. Just don't be hyper defensive about it like people here in the forum.

This goes both ways you can also dislike the game without constantly labeling anyone who likes it as a capcom fanboy, like some people here in the forum love to do nearly 24/7.

Yes.
But this can only work for people who are not aggressively trying to push what they believe into people and trying to paint themselves as victims later on. So it's never going to happen with you guys, unlucky.

Like for example, your two attempts of trying to bait me into a fight yesterday.

To bad that the irony of your own post is lost on you, really to bad.

No. it's not irony and even if it was i would have understood anyway.
I just treat your guys like you treat me, it's simple, in fact i already had enough conversation with people who like the game here, it's just sad they are few.
But you wouldn't understand anyway, so whatever.

I've seen it as both, that's the Steam forums in a nutshell. If you like the game, you are a fanboy who will will do anything for AAA slop, and if you are negative, you are a just a hater who wants the game to fail for some nebulous reason lol

Not untrue, but this is nothing compared to FS games like Elden Ring. The guys there attacked you back in 2022 with "git gut" phrases when you were critizicing the poor implemenation of easy anti cheat.

So far I have seen no one who defends Wilds perfomance in general (they might exist, but I have not seen them). Also there seems to be a consensus even among "fanboys" that the game should not have been released in this state, which is also hard to deny. I have also so far seen nobody defending the DLC, which by now cost combined around 500 bugs (which is btw around 1% of the cost of the biggest Star Citizen DLC pack, just wanted to mention that, cause it is so absurd).

Yeah and people shouldn't try to nullify criticism, get overly sensitive about it, catch a B & then make an alt to wish skull and crossbones on other users because they said Capcom bad either, because that's definitely not normal behavour.

So, you guys saw that post, huh?
I'm sorry man, it was an incredible unhinged post but it was also funny because it just showed how much ♥♥♥♥ they are able and willing to do just to protect the game.
