Performance is worse
My lows in Windward Plains hub used to be 38, now they're 29.
Average is less stable than it used to be too.

Maybe next update Capcom will get it right.

Mine was much worse as well, but I think the game was still shader caching/buffering/whatever while playing because after about 5 min the CPU usage dropped dramatically out in the wilds. But in cities/base camps the performance is still extremely abysmal.

Based on what many people have reported, it does seem like the shader compilation step is not actually the full shader compilation. It just does a portion of the shaders and then continues to do more as you play.

After you noticed the CPU usage settling down, did your performance go up?

I just checked again because I saw a thread claiming HDR saturation improved performance but it does not.

Mine one becomes much worse as well. My computer spec is 4080S with 64gb RAM, but the game is freezing every single time.
I was using high quality spec in game, I cant play the game even I changed it to the lowest

I have the same graphic card with a 4k monitor on high settings no raytracing with DLAA enabled and i hover around 45 - 50 fps with no framegen i wonder if my CPU is the issue here i have a R7 5700X but i think it should be enough, what is your CPU ?

Whats your driver version? Also try to manualy clear the shader.cache file again.

Like I said, I'm on newest which is currently 591.44. I saw their notice and specifically checked.

I know that some people give out Jesters for blatant ignorance, but I am not one of them. I feel it is silly to reward stupid behaviour. Go farm your jesters elsewhere. (they are deserved if you think many people aren't still having issues; as they say: read the room.)

Thats the thing, you should not sue the latest one, but the specificly recommended one (581.57).

Capcom specifically gives a driver version while following it up with "and newer". So, if they're using the newest driver, they are using the driver recommended by Capcom.

Okay, so first off, it said "or newer"

Second, I know the deal. I've been testing Nvidia drivers thanks to Marvel Rivals all year, and also have been building computers for over 23 years, both professionally and personally.

Third, it's not the driver at issue. If anything GPU is STILL underused. The issue still lies in CPU. Previously I would hit about 88% usage with occasional jumps over 100%, but now it spends more time at 100% than 80%. The one saving grace I have is despite constantly stuck in Turbo it stays under 80 degrees Celsius so there is no chance of thermal throttling and it stays in Turbo at ~4.27GHz.

And mind you no other game in my library pushes the 5600G over 80-85% usage, so before the cracksmokers arrive claiming we have terrible CPUs, I'll just curtail that by saying I'm not buying a new CPU for 1 game, when over 900 others still work with the current one, including newer titles.
