gravity gun icon, crosshair, and game title looking all messed up.
for whatever reason, the gravity gun icon, crosshair, and game title all look messed up. the gravity gun icons looks like Grigori's Annabelle, the crosshair looks... different, and the game title looks like the text for the mod Evacuation, but messed up. i have screenshots to show you what i mean.

and no, i didn't get any workshop mods. i was even playing on the pre-anniversary build for HL2. you can tell this because the font is different on the hud.

edit oh yeah, forgot to mention: THIS IS HAPPENING FOR ALL SOURCE GAMES AND IT'S BOTHERING ME...

The crosshair, etc, use graphics stored in font files, such as "HalfLife2":
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\resource\halflife2.ttf

If the problem occurs in several games, then a modified version of that font file may have been "installed" on your computer.
Find where all the "installed" fonts for your operating system are located (eg C:\Windows\Fonts). If there is a font with the same name (HalfLife2), you should delete/uninstall it (keep backup if you want) and then restart your computer.

In case the font files in the game folders have been modified, do a "Verify Integrity of Game Files":

Consider disabling/deleting any mods or custom content.
