Vandal Hearts would be sweet! Never played the 2nd, but loved the first one!
I still have the first one complete on psx, great classic!

The Sega Saturn version of VH1 had widescreen support and a lot of extras...just saying.

The second game was absolutely awful but the first game is a classic.

I'll take Vandal Hearts 1 but leave 2 out of it

Speaking of which, I do appreciate Konami using the Sega Saturn intro to remaster for Suikoden 1.

Absolutely would day 1 buy the first game.
The 2nd game was.... eh... I mean I never even finished it or played much to be honest. That new turnbased system was kind of garbage :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
+1
A hugely underrated series, unfortunately absolutely not equipped with the depth of the most classic strategic jrpg boomer style.
But it boasts in its favor, an exceptional soundtrack, a wonderful anime style, an unparalleled plot and characterization, incredibly epic, with special effects on the magic still unattainable today.
it has already been said: the second episode is clearly inferior to the first, due to a very stupid strategic stylistic choice in the turns, but it still remains a really valid title.
it really surprises me among other things, the such a low presence in the forum of requests about it, it means that unfortunately, we have played it in very few and therefore, a remastered is extremely risky in terms of sales.
but this series is also a milestone for Konami (leaving aside the third episode), so if they don't do it, it will be a huge mistake.

We all agree that the first Vandal Hearts was the best...but the second part wasn't as bad as some of you make it out to be, the story was quality and it had some interesting gameplay experiments.
I've been tempted to try the fan patched version of Vandal Hearts 2 that gets rid of the simultaneous turn thing and makes it like the first game. Anyone tried that?

As for Vandal Hearts 1 I still get the music stuck in my head randomly despite not playing it in a couple of decades. That and the sound and visual of blood spurting everywhere when you kill an enemy, it was so satisfying! :Gremio:

I didn't know that existed! :spazhorror:
That would certainly make me give it a second chance.

I frequently think of this damn thing whenever I play a a grid-based fantasy boardgame :reexcited:

Hmm, I must be odd, I liked the second one quite a lot. Didn't mind the take on how turns played out, just took a brief time to get used to, and I had a lot of fun with it and enjoyed the story for what it was. Really my only complaint was the absurdity at getting the good/hidden/whatever ending, but beyond that loved it.

Then again it has been years, so I should go back and play it sometime. But even so, I played plenty of other tactics-styled game at the time and still enjoyed it. Whatever the case, I'm all for having them remastered!
