Thank you so much for sharing such thoughtful feedback.
1.Impact and hit sounds: I completely agree with your point. We’re currently improving weapon impacts, explosions, and environmental SFX to make them feel heavier and more realistic.
2.Steam Deck adjustments: This is also on our roadmap. We’re working on better screen scaling so the character doesn’t look too small, and we want the Steam Deck experience to be fully enjoyable.
3.Environmental liveliness: Absolutely noted. We’re adding more ambient movement, background animations, and subtle world details to bring more life into the environments.
Your feedback is extremely valuable, and I’ll be discussing all of your points in depth with the team so we can continue improving the game. Please feel free to share your thoughts anytime — we truly welcome it. And next time, I promise I won’t take this long to reply.
Thank you again for your support and patience. Your words really motivate us.
Also I agree with the same points - a huge portion of my worry is Steam Deck optimization. I play a lot on my Steam Deck and a lot of metrovania genre games run flawlessly on it. I hope you do the same! GL I will buy it in a few hours!
Also, I'm using my DualSense Edge controller. It says it's supported but it won't work. I had to enable Steam input so I'm seeing Xbox glyphs. Not a big deal but would love to see this fixed.
Assuming you're using HDR? I am and it's just way, way too dark. If it has HDR support or brightness settings I'll buy it, but I'm not going to manually switch off HDR every time I want to play the gam.
I am using HDR but turning it off made no difference. Just slightly less vibrant darkness.
Thank you so much for your warm support.
it truly means a lot to us.
We also want the game to run smoothly on Steam Deck, and we're committed to making that happen.
We'll keep doing our best to improve and deliver the best experience we can.
Thank you again for believing in VELASTER!
Thank you so much for playing the demo and sharing your feedback.
Regarding the brightness issue... we’re truly sorry.
HDR is currently not supported in this version, and because of how the system handles it, we’re unable to provide an immediate fix.
However, we are actively working to improve this and will update it as soon as possible.
For the DualSense Edge controller, we included a temporary workaround in our notice:
1. Right-click VELASTER DEMO in your Steam Library
2. Select Properties
3. Go to Controller
4. Set Steam Input to Disabled
This should allow the PlayStation controller to work properly.
Thank you again for the detailed feedback!
we’ll keep improving VELASTER to make sure you can enjoy it comfortably.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
We’re very sorry about the HDR issue — the current version does not support HDR, which is why the screen becomes extremely dark. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an immediate fix for HDR support, but improving brightness and visibility is now one of our top priorities.
We truly appreciate your interest in purchasing the game, and we’ll work hard to address this problem as quickly as possible.
Thank you again for your feedback.
