I Combusted While Rappelling Down to Escape a Wasp
I was on a rooftop in the Buried City, minding my own business, when a wasp detected me. I took a shot, missed, jumped into a window hatch, and instantly combusted. I fell, burned to death, and the fire never stopped. My corpse remains burning to this day. No, the flamethrower bot was not there.

What is going one? Is this divine punishment? Was this karma for all the "good" I have done?

Blaze Grenade trap?
Did you check the post-round recap to see what damaged you?

I actually did not, it never crossed my mind. It was a fresh map, so I doubt people planted mines.

Something like this also happened to my friend when he was trying to clip through walls. He clipped alright, but then he also combusted and fell from a long height. Funny stuff.

I doubt it, the floor should have been on fire too. I was the only thing that was on fire.
Spontaneous Raider Combustion. It was a craze in the 70's.
Devs put an anti-exploit feature in the game that prevents people from entering locked spaces when they shouldn't be. You just burn to death and your corpse becomes additional loot for the person that actually has a key for the restricted areas.

I figured when I saw my friend combust, but why did I suffer the same fate as him when there were no locked doors? Divine punishment man. Also, speaking of keys, I was able to find one in the same house. It was for Stella Montis.
