I've switched sides
I do believe that the crying about pvpve is actually due to an unskilled playerbase.
because it's genuinely difficult to find players that want to pvp, let alone have the ability to pvp. and the endgame, end result of arc raiders, is to pvp. the game becomes stale if you don't engage with pvp. and a lack of proper matchmaking is going to continue making the game unfun for the people that want to do their own thing. there's never going to be an agreement on how the game should be played, so why not implement a divider between the people that want to engage with the content they want to play?

PvP players when they use 100% of their brain:
pve crybabies should have their own server
Your definition of unskilled, is a player who chooses to play their own game peacefully, solo or in tandem with other likeminded individuals.

PvP is not mandatory.
Arc Raiders isn't a shoot'em up game, it's way more complex than trying to fit two different players/styles into just two separate boxes.

I think the end result from all of us who chose to buy this game is simply enjoyment, and on a plus side get uninterrupted value for money.

This game ticks a lot of boxes for a lot of players, PvE'ers seem to have bonded with the vast interactions like no other game before, it's unique, and probably a feeling the PvP players will never experience if they love racking up kill scores.

mmm, no, my definition of an unskilled player is someone who queues for fill trios with the intent to extract within 3 minutes, after looting. they're only there to get the protection of the team, even though they could've done this alone. people normally queue for trios to pvp. and often times I find that my filled players aren't willing to work together, stick together, or even fight back if we get attacked.

And who will pay for these servers? More servers = more overheads, More overheads means more payments required...game price increases, cosmetics increases etc etc etc.

How about, everyone just play the damn game, kill who they want, be friends with who they want and play the game how it was made to be played. If we moan about things till we get it exactly how we want it we just get divided more and more and it will never, ever stop.

You cant please everyone.

This..... If you trio, you better fight and be competent. Rarely do trios be friendly. Solos for sure, Duos its hit and miss. Its all part of the fun.

Not how it works. If they divide the playerbase, they'll just divide the match instances into PvPvE and PvE. The amount of instances will remain the same, so the amount of hardware in use will remain the same. Or do you think they actually run 1 match per server?

The crying is because babies cry and get fed. It's probably one of the most simple things to understand on the planet.

Something else that is simple is the pvp in this game. It requires zero skill in this game to pvp. That's why it's so popular. The bar is so low, even a five year old could do it. There is no skill involved. It's solely about being an opportunist and doing everything you can, even cheating to win. You get the highest rewards in the game for doing virtually nothing.

Something else that's a simple concept: A considerable portion of is are crying. For the reason I mentioned above. However, implementing a pve mode would retain players. More players = more revenue (ARR) = better features and content for everyone. You want that bug fixed faster? Supporting things that increase player retention will get it done. You can't get much more simple than that.

Because they bought the wrong game and I don't want the devs to take away time and resources away from the game they advertised and I purchased with those expectations set.
The overwhelming majority are defensive players who wont complain about pvp but rarely starts it without a good reason. Keep that in mind when either side whines or gets snarky in the forums.
Wait,so your lbgt now?

I bought the game because I played the test version and thought it was incredible.
I don't like 3rd person games, I never play them but I still bought the game fully aware of that.
I'm not a fan of the particular PvP style this game has to offer but I still chose not to refund because I love this game and have never seen anything that comes close to topping that.

And think of it like this, isn't it actually great that the portion of players who might be bad at pvp, stil has the oppertunity to enjoy the game regardless of the pvp aspect? It's quite a unique feature that pure pvp games often can't provide to the level that Arc Raiders can.
"NO! ME ME ME THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN ENJOY THIS GAME IS ME! EVERYONE ELSE IS WRONG! MY TIME IS VALUABLE, YOURS IS NOT! ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥" - Average PvP "enjoyer", 2025
