It was originally designed with a gamepad / controller.
So I would suggest the same for experiencing this on PC.

As a rule of thumb if a game requires a lot of precise aiming or shooting, keyboard and mouse is the way to go. So basically any game that requires shooting.

If it's a hack'n'slash game (like this one is) where aiming isn't all that important, a controller is more comfortable IMO. Gonna be using the DualSense for this one.

Personally, I play only on the keyboard and mouse in all the games and everything suits me. But not everyone knows how to play slashers on the keyboard and mouse, so for many people the controller in the God of war will be the optimal choice of control, but not for me.

There is a lot of aiming in this game with the axe. I played it on PS and this is going to be better with a mouse - like pretty much every game.

Ik, I've watched a full playthrough back when the game released. The main damage dealer is still predominantly melee as opposed to ranged combat.

I used KBM when Horizon Zero Dawn came out on PC and I'll certainly use KBM again when the Uncharted Collection drops but for this, I'm personally gonna stick to controller.

I only play games with joypads, if a game don't support it I use Antimicro, this game will support it.

But honestly if you don't have one and you are thinking to buy it only for this game maybe you should try playing it before you buy one.

Controller will be the best. Like many games before GoW.

Already bought one just in case. Got a ps4 controller... cannot wait

For this game only a mouse, no keyboard and even less a gamepad.

i prefer mouse/keyboard for games like assassins creed/witcher etc. so if they implemented mouse/keyboard well in this (i hope they did). then def mouse/keyb.

Why restrict to shooting ? ANY game, of any genre that has FREE CAMERA controls is better with m/kb. In EVERY instance, in any game, in any genre, a mouse will be far better for camera controlls. This game included. You can turn, track enemies and react far better using the mouse than a stick
