During the Steam launch of Silksong and Borderlands 4, scammers were making tons of fake giveaway threads on the Steam discussion forums.

They're offering copies to people who reward them with Steam point awards (Take my points, Treasure, Poetry, and so on). Sometimes they're gettin' thousands, ten of thousands, hundreds of thousands of points. A lot.

Scammers target new Steam games and prey upon those forums until they're banned or their threads are removed.

To be clear, Steam support will delete these fake giveaway threads and they're 100% against the rules. They should be reported for scamming. Let's not mince words.

Hades 2 will be releasing on Sept. 25th, 2025.

We can anticipate fake giveaway threads towards the end of this month. Report 'em, friend.

I wanted to plant a seed now so we're anticipating a wave of troll threads and scammer giveaways.
