Leap of Faith Trail
Everytime I get to the last part, where the umbral stone is, i am killed. How are you supposed to get from the last jump to the stone?

Got it done, you just climb on edge, then grab the gem. This is the most broken quest in the game.

I have NOT ONCE struggled with this quest.

Internet has a couple of solutions.
You can also solve this puzzle easily with a few uses of Misty Step/Enhanced Leap paired with vision through magical darkness, which can be gain in one of two ways.

1: At level 2, warlocks gain access to Eldritch Invocations. One of these, "Devil's Sight", grants long-range vision through both magical and non-magical darkness; this is useful when paired with the Darkness spell, available to warlocks of any subclass starting at level 3

2: Following the road in front of act 2's house of healing (where you encounter the Surgeon), there is an underground structure. Inside, you can find the "Eversight Ring", which literally makes you impossible to blind. This pairs well with the Darkness spell as the above method does, but it also works with Fog Cloud

I died a bunch of times the first time I did this because the camera and movement controls just aren't precise enough for a puzzle like this - I kept dying to misclicks.

But like other's have said, there are lots of workarounds - Enhance Leap, Flight, Misty Step, etc.

I've honestly never seen the issue with this because I let Shadowheart do her thing and an easy and clearly visible path right to the end appears.

What gets me is she dies after entering the foggy bits 3 times.. everytime. And as for the path.. I screen shotted it.. and i can't see the path.. it's almost impossible to see. i just use jump.. save scum... reload if i miss.

That works does it.. good tip. Could do with a bag of sand or chalk for these kinds of maps.

There's a map on the ground right at the start of the trial. Put the camera in overhead view and follow the map. You do not need any jumping or misty step to complete. It's the easiest trial of the three.

Nothing broken here. Got it first time by just jumping like a kangaroo with my monk. Athlete feat surely help if you have it by you can do the same with Enhanced Leap. Probably one thing easier to do with KB&M than with a controller.

You can also skip last 2 trials and cast knock on the door. or skip them all after getting the orb off Yurgir.
the trick is to just not do it. just jump, teleport, or fly. everyone knows its awful, so 100% of us just skip it by cheesing it.

Nothing cheesy here. The game allow it, no gimmick. If devs wanted people not to do that, they would put statues on the platforms or just simply remove all of them (& they did not).

I played this game a year ago on patch 6 and it's unbelievable we are still have post on this because it's too hard.
